Problems & Solutions - The Benefits of using Compass EAM / CAFM Products 2

When it comes to the functionality of our products, in layman's terms the difference between Discover CAPFM products and many of our competitors products would like be comparing the difference between going to a doctor for a basic checkup against getting a full health check in a hospital.
While there are many and varied types of CAFM / CMMS software products on the market, because Discover CAPFM was designed for the purpose of complete tracking of all aspects of PPM and Remedial Works, it has many advantages over our competitor products. Example 1.

Air conditioning
Coils should be cleaned once per year. Unless there is a specific external influence, there should not be callouts during the year for 'smells' etc. Compass highlights standard maintenance operations for various types of plant and 'unnecessary' visits by engineers can be highlighted through plant analysis. Compass also highlights where in the case of identical items of plant, one may be requiring more repairs / maintenance.

Example 2.

Air Handling Units
Standard maintenance contracts allow for 4 filter changes per year that may not be necessary if a unit is not used all year. Compass tracks filter changes and allows the question to be asked on the necessity.

Dampers need to be well maintained during PPM. If a damper seizes (over time) costs are incurred through callouts and possible replacement. Compass gives the contractor the opportunity to note with a 'caution' any potential mechanical problems so action can be taken before the issue becomes critical. If the problem has not been noted, then the contractor is at fault.

Boilers
A combustion analysis should be carried out before and after the annual service. If the prior analysis shows 80% effeciancy and the later 93% efficiency then your boiler could be costing money in excessive fuel consumption. Height Equipment
